3v3 soccer tournament

Teams of three plus a substitute, short games, small pitches, and a proper bracket with a final at the end of it. Enter in advance — the draw is made the week before the fair.

What happens

Eight-minute games on small pitches, no goalkeepers, rolling substitutions. Groups in the morning, knockout from lunchtime, finals for each age bracket mid-afternoon.

Bring a team or come on your own — anyone entering without a team gets placed in one on the morning. It works out better than it sounds; half the teams end the day as friends who had never met.

What to bring

Boots or trainers, and shin pads — shin pads are required to play
A spare shirt; teams are split into bibs and no-bibs
Water. There is more running in this than parents expect

Good to know

Entry closes the week before the fair, when the brackets are drawn
Three age brackets: 6–8, 9–11 and 12–15
Mixed teams are welcome in every bracket
