What happens
Each table has its own thing going on and its own person running it, so children can move between them at whatever pace suits. Nothing is a timed workshop and nothing needs booking — sit down at whichever table is free.
One wall is given over to a single piece that everyone adds to across the day. It is photographed at the end and sent out to every family who registered.
What to bring
- Old clothes, or expect to explain the paint later. Aprons are provided but they are only aprons
- A bag for wet work to travel home in
- Nothing else — all materials are provided
Good to know
- A quieter table is set aside for younger children and anyone who finds the main run busy
- Clay pieces go home unfired unless you want to leave them for collection
- Volunteers run every table; parents are welcome to sit and make something too
