Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and what we will never do with it.

Last updated 9 August 2026

The short version

  • • Families can browse this entire site without an account.
  • • We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers.
  • • A family profile’s street address is never shown publicly, ever.
  • • We never see your card details — payments go straight to Stripe.
  • • Email info@homeschoolfair.org and we will delete your data.

Who we are

Homeschool Fair is a directory of homeschool providers in Florida and an organiser of homeschool fairs. This policy covers homeschoolfair.org and the events we run.

Questions, corrections and deletion requests all go to info@homeschoolfair.org.

What we collect

If you are just browsing

Nothing that identifies you. We count page and listing views in aggregate so providers can see whether being listed is worth anything. Those counts are not tied to a person.

If you create an account or join the community

Your email address, the name you give us, and anything you choose to put in a profile or a post. We use your email to sign you in — we send a link rather than asking you to invent another password — and to send you things you asked for.

If you contact a provider

Your message, your name and your email are passed to that provider so they can reply. We keep a copy so you can see your own message history.

If you list a business

Your business details, contact information and anything you add to your listing. This is published deliberately — it is the point of a directory. Some listings were built from publicly available information before the owner claimed them; see Listings we created.

Security and anti-spam

We use Cloudflare Turnstile on public forms to keep bots out. It receives your IP address and basic browser information for that check. We use it because it does not profile you or follow you around the web.

Payments

Providers who buy a subscription tier, a fair booth or a sponsored slot pay through Stripe. Stripe handles the card details — we never see or store your card number. We keep a record of what was bought, when, and for how much.

Children

This site is for parents and providers, not for children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If a child has given us information, email us and we will remove it.

Please do not put your child’s full name, photograph or anything identifying them in a public profile or forum post.

Family profiles and addresses

Family profiles are members-only by default and their street address, postcode and map coordinates are stripped before anything is served publicly. This is enforced in the software, not by policy alone. A map is only ever shown for a business that meets families in person and has given an address for that purpose.

Listings we created

Some provider listings were built from publicly available information before the provider claimed them. Every listing says where its information came from. If a listing is about you or your business, you can:

  • claim it and edit it yourself,
  • ask us to correct anything that is wrong, or
  • ask us to remove it entirely.

Removal requests take effect immediately. Use the link on the listing or email us.

Who we share with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not give it to advertisers. We share it only with the services that make the site work:

  • Stripe — payments
  • Cloudflare — bot protection and content delivery
  • Our email provider — sign-in links and the messages you asked us to send
  • Providers you message — your name, email and message

We will also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Account and listing information stays until you ask us to remove it. Messages stay so both sides keep their history. Aggregate view counts are kept indefinitely because they identify nobody.

Your choices

  • Ask for a copy of what we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct anything wrong.
  • Ask us to delete your account, your listing or both.
  • Unsubscribe from any email we send.

One address for all of it: info@homeschoolfair.org.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will say so plainly rather than quietly editing the page.

Want your data removed?

Ask and we will do it. No forms, no runaround.
