Wild Oak Explorers' mission is to provide children access to explore and take risks in nature as they learn about local flora, fauna and community, while inspiring a lifelong dedication to environmental stewardship. It offers a variety of programmes and workshops in nature for children ages 5-14 for homeschool and alternative school families in Fernandina Beach, Yulee, Callahan and all of Nassau County, with ongoing enrolment and flexible schedules, multiple educational philosophies and a secular community that accepts all beliefs. Programmes include the Monday/Wednesday W.O.E. Learning Collective and the Tuesday/Thursday Farm & Forest School, plus Caregiver & Me stay-and-play sessions. Wild Oak Explorers partners with Keep Nassau Beautiful, Beach Junki, the Amelia Island History Museum and Wild Amelia, and is an approved Step Up For Students direct provider with FES-UA and FES-EO/PEP direct billing.
