The Village Community School of Sarasota is a Bible-based homeschool enrichment program run in microschool style, opened in 2022 and operating a campus in Sarasota's Newtown community. It describes itself as the in-between for families who want to homeschool and families who want a private/micro school style education, letting students learn at their own pace. The mostly outdoor campus teaches hands-on vocational and homesteading skills - planting, growing and harvesting, natural medicine from plants and herbs - alongside modern entrepreneurialism and self-confidence, with the aim of raising capable, faithful, wise young people who love God, serve others, and steward the world.
