Founded in 2014, Spring River is a hybrid homeschool enrichment program serving families throughout Jacksonville. Its mission is to support parents in their educational journey by offering Waldorf-inspired, nature-based learning environments that nurture the whole child - head, heart and hands. Curriculum and culture are modeled after Waldorf schools, though Spring River is not a Waldorf-accredited independent school; instead it provides supplemental, community-based programming led by trained teachers and aligned with Waldorf principles. Offerings include a four-day K-8 Waldorf-inspired academic program, a K-8 forest immersion program with daily field experiences at nearby parks and nature preserves, a two-day homeschool enrichment program, parent-child classes, high school programming and seasonal camps and community workshops.
