Oakland Nature Preserve offers outdoor nature and science experiences to homeschool individuals and groups near Winter Garden. The Monthly Homeschool Series runs separate classes for ages 6-8 and 9-12, each offered twice a month - once on a Monday morning and once on a Thursday afternoon, the same topic each time. Sessions are drop-off only, two hours long and capped at 16 students with an eight-student minimum, giving hands-on science experience that reinforces topics taught at home. Cost is $12 for members (family membership required) and $14 for non-members per student. Homeschool groups can also book a private class through the Education Coordinator.
