Homeschoolers By The Sea was founded in 1994 to support Christian homeschool families in the St. Johns area. The group has two membership types: co-op members, who join an intimate group of 10-15 families (maximum 40 children) for weekly enrichment classes, and general members, who take part in field trips and social events. Age groups run from ages 3-4 up through 12 and older. Class offerings have included art, STEM, marine biology, geography, nature studies, sign language, creative writing and physical science. Co-op members also get special event days including a Christmas party, Science Day, Book Character Day, talent and art shows, Field Day and a completion ceremony.
