Florida Academy of Excellence offers umbrella school services to homeschooling families anywhere in Florida. Annual portfolio evaluations are conducted by Dr. Krista Mallo, a Florida certified professional educator since 2001 with certifications in English 6-12, ESOL K-12 and ESE K-12, either in person within 30 minutes of central Pasco County or online statewide. The FAE Umbrella School enrols K-12 students who then work through Florida Virtual School or any parent-led curriculum, are exempt from annual evaluation requirements, and report attendance to FAE. FAE also provides transcript evaluation, high school graduation and diplomas, Bright Futures guidance, an online academy for grades 6-12, and Christian dual enrolment through Florida Collegiate High School in partnership with Southeastern University.
