Arts Bonita, the arts and cultural centre of Bonita Springs with campuses on Bonita Beach Road and Old 41 Road, runs a Homeschool Program called Friday Fun Art Day on the first and fourth Friday of the month, 10am to 12pm. Each two-hour session is a self-contained studio class with all materials and resources included, on subjects such as sculpting with clay, impressionist colour work after Monet, digital cartoon and comic drawing, abstract expression in acrylic, and general art exploration for beginners; sessions are split into an ages 4-8 and an ages 9-plus track. Pricing is per child with a group rate for parties of ten booked together and an individual rate for smaller groups, regardless of membership status. Arts Bonita states its homeschool programme has expanded and links families to Step Up For Students, and it also runs a School of the Arts youth classes programme, exhibitions, a high school showcase and its own scholarships.
